Bio for Natalie Roberts, Ed.s, LPC-MHSP, NCC
Co-Founder & Therapist, Wisdom Within Counseling
A Chattanooga native, Natalie Roberts brings both depth and heart to her work as a therapist. Before entering the mental health field, she earned her Ph.D. in English from Georgia State University and served as an Associate Professor at Dalton State College. Her academic background strengthened her understanding of human stories, resilience, and the power of being truly heard.
Driven by a calling to make a more direct impact, Natalie later earned an Ed.S. in Professional Counseling from Middle Tennessee State University. During her clinical training, she interned and counseled students at the University of the South, and she has since worked in multiple therapeutic settings, including group private practice in Nashville and as a counselor at the UTC Counseling Center.
As a former single parent to a child with Level 3 autism, Natalie developed a deep empathy for individuals and families navigating complex caregiving roles. Her lived experience gives her a special place in her heart for caregivers—those who provide continuous support while often carrying emotional and practical burdens that others may not see.
Today, Natalie works with adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, and life transitions. She also integrates her training as a certified yoga instructor to help clients reconnect with mind, body, and breath.
Outside the therapy room, Natalie enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time outdoors—especially gardening with her husband, Jeremy. Her connection to nature reflects her belief that healing grows through patience, presence, and compassion.
